Who are we?
The Love Yourself Project is a mental health awareness initiative founded by me, Maher Hachem. The idea began in 2017 during my final year at the University of Michigan. As an aspiring musician, I’ve always wanted to create a brand that bridged the gap between my music and the importance of raising awareness surrounding mental health.
What do we do?
We’re a Detroit based organization aiming to raise awareness surrounding mental health! From circle talks, custom clothing, and college collaborations, our goal is to break the stigma surrounding mental health by designing custom apparel & connecting with local communities. Our marquee “love yourself” design is printed backwards to provide a simple reminder when you look in the mirror. I came up with the idea after having a mentally exhausting day and realized little pick-me-ups help, a lot.
What makes us different?
With each clothing drop, we give back a percentage of profits to different mental health organizations. From the Wolverine Support Network to The Trevor Project, our goal is to grow while still giving back to the community.
